World Savings 3 month CD - 5.76 APY

Found this on FW and confirmed it today. This is not advertised; apparently a mailer was sent out however, they will honor it for those who know about it. Good till 7/22.

The term is 3 months and it's renewable for the same terms if you wish. Must be opened with new money. Luckily, I was able to close out the liquid CD I had with them and deposit that check in another institution. Tomorrow I go back to WS and re-open this new CD with "new money".

I think this is the 3rd or 4th CD deal that I've done with this institution. They're definately hard to beat on shorter term deals.

Katwoman.......... I just opened a 6 month cd with world today for 6.0% APY. This new cd is not advertisied and you must ask for it. I was going to do like you and close my liquid and put the cashiers in another bank and bring it back as new money,, however this account does not require new money at all. The lady just took it out of my liquid and opened this new account. True it is 6 months, but at 6% I could not pass it up. Just thought you would like to know.... Later....DrBill

Thanks doc, but I find out literally a few days later. Nice for you, though.

It's all good. I like the 3 month term just fine. After that I'll be back in the stock market with these funds.

and what's the minimal balance to opening?

I just joined a credit union that has CDs that pay 1 to 3 1/2%
a month.
