After what happened could they go bankrupt? Yes it wasn't a security problem but I wonder if they can get new clients who trust them?

Crowdstrike stock?

No, not unless a concerted effort was made to drive them out of business. The company is still perfectly functional & capable. From what I've read, the failure had to do with the method that they use for disseminating their automatic security updates. As you said, no malicious actor, no security vulnerability, just a bad system update. Fix that process to be less critical-adjacent, and their products & systems still do the job well.

It was an oops, but, that won't stop the lawsuits from piling on. Affected companies will want to recover their losses as a result of Crowdstrike's mistake. I think that poses the greatest risk/uncertainty for them going forward.History will judge the complicit.

Personally I am amazed it doesn't happen more often.
I am sure there will be lawsuits, but I would assume their end user agreements protect them from any damages caused by their software. Yes their stock took a hit, but that will come back up. I don't think personally they are bankrupt.

My assumption is it will go down some more and then level out. If I was playing around with it that is when I'd buy. It will go up... most likely... or maybe they go bust! You just don't know.

Seems CRWD's contracts are shielding them from most of the liability of loss suffered during the outage? I suspect aggressive dealmaking on their renewals is locking up their existing customer base and will ultimately preserve a good share price and growth over the long haul... this might have been one to keep for a longer term investment?History will judge the complicit.

I think it’s definitely a possibility. Trust is a huge factor for clients, especially after something like this. If they can’t rebuild that trust quickly, it might be hard for them to attract new business. They’ll need to show they’re taking serious steps to improve and maybe even get some positive endorsements to win people back.
