Well that would be the main answer. Either an app or some sort of cloud storage solution.

I can't imagine not always having access to all of my passwords. I'm in and out of so many accounts on my phone all the time from wherever I happen to be.

I don’t trust cloud storage either. I used to keep all my passwords in “notes” on my iPhone until I realized that is cloud storage as well.

You can have notes in the cloud or just on your phone.

I started buying in June 2024 (20 shares), then July 2024 (20 shares), and August 2024 (10 shares).

I am not sure how serious you need to or want to get with password security, but depending on what you need, Apple's new Password app (which is just a separate app now for the existing password manager they have always had) isn't that bad really. The hardest part is getting people to use a password manager in the first place.

If not that is somehow not good enough, or you are worried about potential remote attacks (a la 1Password), something like KeePassX is a password manager that works completely offline. The encrypted data file you use is also completely offline as well, and can be transferred around like a normal file. Not sure why most normal people would need to go this far, but it's fun to learn, and if you don't mind the regular practice of copy and pasting, something like this is worth trying.

Yum Brands (ie, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, etc) plan to use NVDIA for its AI services.

I wonder how AI is going to play into me ordering fast food that we can't already do with a touchscreen kiosk though? Or through voice recognition even.

I do want to clearly state my position that I think the upcoming AI hype seems incredibly promising. I myself am a bit caught up in it. However, I also think it's quite over-hyped at the same time.

As for NVDA, at least on the consumer front, the 5000 series GPUs are experiencing what some are arguing could be the worst launch in Nividia history.

Take any of that for what it's worth.

That's exactly how AI is being used. That voice recognition is an AI tool. I don't now about the kiosks but there's probably some AI in use there too. Maybe to suggest additional items or upgrades to you based on what you've selected. Maybe if you log in with a rewards program, it uses your history to guide the suggestions.

I'm not a fan of AI currently in many places I've encountered it, but I also realize that there are many places we encounter it and don't even realize it.

The next step with food ordering is you'll be speaking to an AI assistant. Either at the drive-through call box, in-store kiosk, or using a mobile app. You'll just tell it your order in the way people often do (uh, um...wait, make that a medium fry instead, and no mayo on the burger please) and it will ask questions based on your selections, ring you up, and queue the order for maximum efficiency. It will be able to handle customizations and non-standard ordering, people speaking in foreign languages, etc. It will also "know" who you are and everything you've ever ordered and can make suggestions.

Or, use non-cloud storage for specific notes

Or, use a password manager that doesn't store in the cloud (there are plenty)

And be sure to encrypt your local device data.

Keeping sticky notes with passwords on your monitor at home is basically more secure than re-using usernames and passwords everywhere to try to cut down on having passwords to keep track of...

Guys - I miss being able to pick up the phone and actually talk with a real person. All these AI driven menus are just one more small reduction in daily quality of life.

                                Hmm. Needs additional context.

When solving a complex problem with highly detailed information, yes, I appreciate being able to interface with a high-functioning human who can oversee and help the process from start-to-finish. AI isn't quite there yet and can be infuriating if it's a forced interaction with no alternative means of escalation to a real person.

IMO, I don't see any reduction in "quality of life" by replacing an order call-box or clunky app with AI. AI has its place though. I don't want AI at a high end restaurant. People are part of the experience. For grabbing lunch on the run - it might actually help.
