  • Perks+ Checking with BaZing ($5.95 a month)

My banks has informed me that my checking account will be moving to Perks+ Checking on Sept 01, 2017. They say I have to contact them for other options.
I can not find any good features for the me to pay $5.95 a month ($71.40 a year).

It is all powered by BaZing which if you look at the fine print it is crap.

Welcome to SA. It seems your bank is making changes by charging fees for so many more services. Do you pay bills and shop primarily with cheques? Is there any reason to stay loyal to that specific bank? Would you find it acceptable to use an alternate bank? If you'll consider exploring other financial choices, you might include a Credit Union as you may find their services suitable. If you don't need a 'brick and mortar' type bank, you might like the less expensive, electronic banking services.

Then don't pay it. Look for a bank or credit union which will offer the services you need for free. Most have a free account available with no strings, or if you can meet certain requirements.

Agreed. I don't think I've ever paid a monthly fee for my checking account. My daughter pays nothing for hers either.

        * Why should I pay for my daughter's education when she already knows everything?

Same as Steve, never paid a red cent for a checking account nor have my three 20+ year old kids. I've never even paid a fee period to a bank other then for a loan.

Love it or hate it, I've been with BofA since I was born and have never had an issue or fee. Not even the slightest.
