I currently have 21 different investments in my portfolio and I am looking to get that number reduced down.
Equity - 74.85%
Bond/Fixed Income - 1.5%
Allocation funds - 23.65%
I'm thinking I should sell my allocation funds to balance to 95% Stocks and 5% bonds. My plan for the bonds is to slowly up the allocation % for new purchases and maybe do a re-balance when I get close to retirement.
I'm also going to sell most of my other equity funds as they have significantly higher fees than the Vanguard funds.
Unless advice from here tells me to do something different....I'm updating my elections to:
Stocks
MFS Intl Growth 7%
TIF Intl Equity Series FD 16%
Vanguard Extended Market Index 32%
Vanguard Institutional Index 32%
Bonds
Vanguard Inflation Protected - 3%
Vanguard Total Bond Mkt Index - 10%
