The birth rate has been steadily declining worldwide for decades, especially in developed countries. There are a lot of factors behind that. More women in the workforce, people marrying later in life, better access to birth control, socioeconomic factors, etc.

    * Despite the high cost of living, it remains very popular.
    * Why should I pay for my daughter's education when she already knows everything?
    * There are no shortcuts to anywhere worth going.

Still waiting on male birth control. But seriously US i believe just crossed under replacement rate (2) for live births. Last westernized country. And I believe india and china are decreasing the birth rates even rurally like crazy.

Don't forget - the cost of raising children is typically much higher in developed countries.

For short term 6-12 months, I think semi conductor companies are going to do very well. The extreme shortages of chips are driving up stock prices, but for how long this can go on, I am not sure. But I forsee a huge demand for chips more than before, as has been stated the pandemic has accelerated technology by a decade, the demand may continue. And because of this demand I am in several Semi conductor companies. I live in Taiwan and can see the demand from people who are working in these industries. But again, could be a short term play though, need to see the situation.

I am in ARKG, but do not have many shares, am waiting for it to drop a bit before adding more.

I also think clean technology may get a small boost, hydrogen fuel cells, battery technology, etc. Some of that falls into TSLA and I so regret selling any of the shares I had, I had to buy it back, and less shares, many are predicting it will drop, just like Apple, I am laughing. But if it does pull back, I will buy more.

I also think some kinds of FINTECH industry will be good, payment types and technology that goes along with it will now change much faster then before.
