If you don't think it will, then there is no need to respond here, or suspend your disbelief and respond as if you did believe. My question isn't if climate change is real, my question is if climate change does produce severe and extreme weather patterns on a regular basis, what companies will benefit from this?
Like I said before, I think climate change is real as a naturally occurring event. It is global warming that I think is a sham. But, I will suspend my disbelief for a moment here- even if global warming was real, why are you searching for companies that would benefit? Are you looking for companies benefiting from fracking? What about TARP a while back? How about any other current event?
There are current events going on ALL OF THE TIME! Trying to pick winners based on that is extremely difficult. The reality is that one company can be positioned to win, but lose due to poor management. The opposite could happen too. So picking the "flavor of the time" is very risky.
You are asking a bunch of INVESTORS about SPECULATING on stocks. Most of us are mutual fund investors. If we invest in single stocks, it is such a small amount of money, and it is not because of current events, but because we have a strong belief in that particular company.
INVESTING is about finding a cause or company that you believe in and are willing to endorse with your wallet... for the long haul! It is not about finding a company who is going to win in the short term because of some hot button issue.
With that said, you can do whatever you want with your money. I think you're looking for trouble.
You asked for the opinion of people on this site, so don't get mad at me. Also, you brought a hot button issue up on a public forum. You should have known that someone would have an opposing view pointCheck out my new website at www.payczech.com !
