For those who don't know, Vanguard has switched the benchmarks that 22 of their index funds track.
International indexes will now follow the FTSE's indexes and U.S indexes will follow the Chicago's Center for Research in Security Prices (CRSP) indexes instead of the MSCI indexes they currently use. Supposedly this move will enable them to lower the costs of the funds and ETF's even more.
I'm sure there may be some minor differences between the indexes but I imagine it would be minimal. I haven't had a chance to really check them all out but if I find anything glaringly different I'll post it. If anyone else finds something significantly different, please post if you would.
