My Opinion: Net banks safer than ever

With many people making bank runs on their brick n' mortar banks. . .I was thinking. . .with Charles Schwab, NA. . .I couldn't make a bank run if I wanted to.

I'd have to get on a plane to Reno, NV from NJ and bang on the door at 9 in the a.m.

Hardly worth it.

I wonder if you will see more and more virtual banks after this like ING and so forth.

With online banks, I can make a bank run in my pajamas. What could be easier? As for Charles Schwab, the nearest branch is about 5 miles from here. I don't know if you can actually walk in and make a withdrawal or if you have to put in a request and have them send you a check.
