I would just call customer service. They're pretty good, and real people answer the phone.

I don't now about ING. But it is common for banks to attach accounts. I have a Bank of America account where both my sons and my accounts are linked together.

BOA also waives the fees for my sonss account regardless of the balance in the accounts. This allows we to move money to their Vanguard accounts once I get a couple $100 dollars in the saving account.

You might want to think of setting up a savings account for your daughter and then investing in a good mutual fund. I know my sons aren't going to use the money for atleast 15 years. So, I move it into stock mutual funds just to get a higher return. They still have a no fee savings account.

      Just a thought.

Yes, this has been mentioned several times in the forums (although I'm not sure about the threads at the moment). The easiest way, as Sluf suggested, is to call customer service, tell them what you want and have them do it for you. It shouldn't be a problem.
