  • attractive funds or ETFs

    Hi folks.

It's looking like it's a good time to buy, following the recent declines. The sectors I hear are best poised for growth are financials, technology, and health care.

The financials still kind of scare me, so I'm looking at tech and health care. Can anybody recommend sector funds or ETFs for these areas? Is the Nasdaq 100 a good choice for technology?

    Thanks.

Microsoft - they're doing well and are one of the tech companies that can survive a significant downturn in the economy

That may be, but I'm looking for funds. I don't buy individual stocks.

        VHT is an obvious choice.

VTSMX is Vanguard's Total Stock Market Index fund, good expense ratio and captures a good amount of the market. FFNOX is Fidelity's Four-in-one fund. It has an S&P 500 Index Fund, an Intenational Index Fund, an Extended Market Index Fund and a Bond Index fund with very low expense ratio of 0.08%.

FMAGX - Fidelity Magellan has reopenned and the new fund manager seems pretty sharp. It is a good growth fund if you want a cornerstone for your investment portfolio...

I don't own it, but I will be buying into it when my auto loans get paid off...
