Fundamental Rules

I would go for 6:

1. Learn as much as you can about the subject - the facts
2. Appreciate and use Compounding
3. Understand and use Diversification
4. Appreciate and integrate the Importance of your Time Horizon
5. Understand and use Dollar Cost Averaging
6. Understand Tax Incentives that are legal and designed to halp us save (and avoid beconing a burden to the government).
