  • Getting much our of fidelity

Ok, I think I am ready for fidelity.

Does anyone know about their sign up bonuses?

What fund should I choose first?

Does anyone have their Credit card? What are other benefits besides 2% cashback?

    Thanks,

Here are a cople bonuses that I found:

Up to 25,000 United Plus Mileage Miles for opening a new Fidelity account
https://scs.fidelity.com/other/offer...tion_ual.shtml. I used that one and got bonus miles in 2 weeks after opening my account.

Earn $100 bonus with a $10,000 deposit (works for existing Fidelity customers, too)

      Here's two we own:

FSMKX - Fidelity's Spartan 500 Index which is up 9.15% from this time last year.

and my personal favorite at the moment is:

FSIIX - Fidelity's Spartan International Index which is up 32.74% since July of '05.

have several others at Fidelity but these will work for starters.

It rather depends on what your risk tolerance is, what your goals are and your age, doesn't it???

LuxLiving is spot on when asking what your risk tolerance is! Do a little research and see what funds are available and how they are run! Some are a bit riskier than others. When do you plan to retire? How much do you plan to invest and what kind of investor are you? So many variables but you can make a plan! Do a bit of homework and assess your risk tolerance!

Re: Getting much our of fidelity

I registered for the $100 bonus using the link above because I was planning to deposit more money into my Fidelity account in the next few weeks, but they just gave me the $100 credit because I made a deposit last month, which was before I registered for the bonus. So it works for prior deposits, too, even if you register after the fact. It didn't even cross my mind that they would give me a bonus for the deposit I had already made, and I didn't even ask for it. I love Fidelity!
