This is how I make $600+ per month sorta. I advertise for poker sites and casinos. I also play poker and started playing for free and have made lots playing for free. I then went into the real money games and have made money there too, but only a few hundred over the last year.

My biggest win $360 in a freeroll.

My best promoting revenue day...yesterday $169.00...$154 from 1 player!

This reminds me of a fun little experiment my family did when we were young.

My mother bought fruit juice concentrate, and we would freeze them in ice cube trays. Once frozen, we would pop a couple in a glass when we wanted some, add water, and mix.

$12 is for a family with two children. I'm a college grad/now a grad student. I was the preschool teacher for one of the kids for the past year.
They set that rate for me-- I guess that's what happens when there are two working parents with very nice jobs. I have a car, I'm punctual, responsible, etc. I've picked them up from preschool in the evening/dropped them off in the morning and brought them to their house after preschool while I was still their teacher.

The other families in this area pay me ~$10/hr (Other families where I've been the teacher of one of their children). These families have 2 kids as well.

I don't just sit around and let the kids watch TV the whole time I'm there- I make dinner, I do activities with them, bathe them, put them to bed, etc.

I should also add that the area where I live now has a much higher cost of living than where I used to live. I went from receiving $8-10/hr last year in upstate NY to now $10-12/hr. here in central NJ.

Something I've been doing this summer--
I volunteered to be a paid subject for the psych department at the big university here.

I've gotten paid $10 for many surveys or short computer tasks
I just got paid tonight $50 for an hour and a half long fMRI scan, and I got a picture of my brain which I think is cool.

Hmmm, an extra $600 a month? Well, as others have said, e-bay, yard sales, making and selling crafts, a part-time job....What about doing something part-time in the evenings, like a few hours a week at the local bookstore or something? I'm working on looking for somthing part-time w/really flexiable hours (I have to work nighst and weekends at my regualr job sometimes). I also write a lot, and am working on submitting articles for $ to different magazines and websites. Mums makes baby sweaters and sells them at craft fairs, and nets a couple hundred bucks at each one. Are you close with your neighbors? Where I live, we are really close w/everyone so I feel comfortable going around asking if anyone needs any yardwork done, maybe helping paint the house, rake leaves, babysit, dog-sit, whatever.

Re: Could you come up with an extra $600/mo?

                    Some extra money making ideas:

I have an acquaintance that did these two jobs in college. One, he took care of office aquairiums for a set fee each month. Short learning curve. Took everything out, cleaned the tank, reset/replaced? filters, etc. While there he also did office plant maintenance. Watering, dusting, picking up dead leaves, feeding and so on. He and a buddy did it to get thru school.

Another guy I know painted house numbers on curbs. Used stencils and spray paint. $10 a pop. At those same houses he would offer to put in the little eye-hole security thingys in the doors. A drill and a little $2.00 part and they were set! He charged $20 to do that. He made pretty good money going door-to-door in a metro area. Canvased the neighborhood one day w/cheap flyers, set appointments that night, showed up and worked the neighborhood the next day.

Another friend made BBQ sandwiches and sold them at her husband's plant on lunch hour. Cost apprx. 3.75 to make about 10 sandwiches that she sold for 3.00 each. They couldn't get enough!

Re: Could you come up with an extra $600/mo?

I tutor math through Calculus and into some lower college courses and DH does freelance web development. Between the two of us, we could earn an extra $600 a month working 10-15 hours. That might mean one good job for him, or me taking on 10-15 students and working with them once or twice a week.

Having skills and a good education, along with experience in more technical fields, is helpful.

A couple of things I would consider:

                        - Join a reputable network marketing company (won't plug any, but I can give suggestions if interested)

                        - Take a loan from your 401(k) (better to pay interest to yourself than the card company)

                        - Acquire a piece of real estate (I have done no money down deals and came up with more than $20,000 right away)

                        - Start an internet business (A website with some interesting information and affiliate links could add up to some nice change, especially if you make a list of everyone you know and tell them what you're doing so they visit your site and do all of the free trials)

                            I'd love another $600 a mo! Who wouldn't!

I agree I'm a bit leary about donating blood... I don't want to be poked if I don't need to be KWIM? But I supposed if I was in a jam I would do what needed to be done for a few extra $, legitimatly of course.

I wish collecting cans was easier like it was when I was a kid. That's how my mom got her extra $ was by dumpster diving and scavenging for cans. However these days most people leave plastic bottles on the ground not alluminum cans

I have plenty of aluminum cans but driving all the way to the next county to sell them, doesn not make any money with the cost of gas.
