Wow, that's fantastic. Though it sounds like that may only be a temporary step with Trump's tariff wars, vs. permanently changing the rule.
If anyone had stuff on order from Temu, get ready to wait. LolHistory will judge the complicit.

Well it all depends.
Climbing gear for example, you should never buy from Amazon. Something as simple as a Petzl carabiner is a single forged piece of metal. But if you buy the "identical" item from China, you may end up with something that was cast. It's fine until it cracks and you fall 50 feet.
Similarly cryto wallets you should only order directly from the manufacturer.
Even packs of trading cards you'd better be careful that the vendor hasn't weighed them ahead of time to pull the packs with foils.
If I wouldn't buy those items from Amazon, I certainly wouldn't buy from Temu.
But for everything else it doesn't hurt to price shop. Thanks for the tip!

Temu update. I just ordered a $16 swim fins and $2.99 shipping. Used to be free shipping with minimum $20 purchase. Or Temu gave the option of free shipping w/$30 minimum purchase. I like this change of just paying for shipping rather than having to look for $2 items to add to my cart to fulfill the minimum $20 purchase for free shipping.

I had to double check because who knows what's been tariffed, repealed, fired, rehired. The "de minimus" trade exemption so that Chinese goods under $800 can come to the US, duty free, when shipped from manufacturer to consumer. The exemption was eliminated on 2/5 and reinstated by 2/7. Hmm...History will judge the complicit.

Boogie boarding every weekend. This past Sunday caught some nice open faced smooth rides and it was big too. On my last wave it closed out and swallowed me in the white wash which took off 1 fin. I was struggling to paddle in with only 1 fin. A surfer was panicking asking me for help to paddle in as well. Luckily a lifeguard on a jet ski saw us struggling. I told the lifeguard to help the surfer who had fear on his face but also told the lifeguard that I might need help as well due to losing a fin but I made it in on my own power.

I like Invicta diver's watches $75 which my current one just died. But now I like Temu's $15 diver's watches more and just ordered a blue and a green one. As the title of this thread says "Pro-Tip check Temu." You're right James. Temu is my go-to website first, then I'll check eBay, Amazon, or Walmart. Walmart does the same buying from China then adds the Walmart mark up prices. I rather go straight to China and reap the savings.

Myrdale how much did you pay for your wetsuit? Full body wetsuits for brand names such as O'Neil, Body Glove, or Rip Curl can easily top $300 - $400. On Temu I got this 3/2 mm (3 mm torso, 2 mm legs/arms) for $25 w/free shipping. The thicker it is the warmer it is. Take the Deadliest Catch crabbing fishermen on the Discovery channel they must use 7 mm wetsuit that'll keep them warm in the event their boat capsizes but those thick wetsuits make it hard to move but their wetsuits must cost over $500. I go through wetsuits yearly due to it stretching and losing its elasticity which the cold water easily penetrates so a new wetsuit is essential to me.
