Illegals can fly domestically without showing an ID, thanks crazy. Mind-boggling.

Please don't post misinformation here. This is not true. ALL air passengers must show ID. An undocumented immigrant can fly with a valid passport from their home country or a valid driver's license. They can not fly with no identification.

Also, this has absolutely nothing to do with the topic of this thread.

Are migrants allowed to board US flights without ID?

Not false information, it is true. TSA is allowing illegals to just show their CBP app which we have no idea if they falsified their information. This could be disastrous if it results in another 9/11 type attack.

Sorry but citing the NY Post is like citing MAD magazine.

That said, the CBP One app was launched during the Trump administration as part of their effort to secure the borders. It is how immigrants in Mexico register to enter the country for appointments and apply for humanitarian entry. It’s literally a way for the CBP to monitor and limit who comes in.

Can we get back to the financial topics please?

Ok but it's like taking their word saying they are who they say they are which is like my neighbor asking me to borrow $500 where I pretty much know once I hand over the cash that I'll likely never see it again. Done.

The US government accepts it as valid ID to enter the country so I'm not sure what else you'd like them to do but that's way beyond the topic here.

That is the root cause of the problem, relaxing the restrictions. Flying with just the CBP app is just the tip of the iceberg. Exploding social services budgets, criminals like Tren de Aragua, fentanyl, 2 year-old girl crossing alone, diseases, etc. The cost for all this will blow up budgets which we will all have to pay in more taxes, golly.

Canada & Mexico are not insane like USA. To get a temporary Visa to live in Canada you either have to be a wealthy investor with millions of dollars, be a medical doctor, or be willing to work as a caregiver in their SNFs' (skilled nursing facilities). In Mexico they require proof of income of something like a minimum of $3500 a month. Canada & Mexico are smart and don't want outsiders coming over and draining their resources. In USA we'll fly or bus illegals to hotels on taxpayers' dimes even though illegals never put a penny into our system, complete insanity.

Just a little side note on translation, Tren (train) de (from) Aragua (a state in Venezuela).

Gas prices are coming down, coincidence or an effect? I know we are not yet into the next chapter but I see strength and not weakness anymore. Take those drones in NJ, dear in the headlights. I'm glad cray-cray is coming to an end.

Trash company just slipped a $10 fuel surcharge on our first bill for 2025 (bills every 4 months)

I noticed at the grocery store this week eggs are back up to $4 a dozen at Aldi after hovering around $1.50 for the last couple years. I can't help but think its some sort of ploy to later be able to say the next admin brought prices down Did I miss the news about the next egg shortage?

There's been another avian flu outbreak. However, similar to the last one, where it was later determined the flu itself actually didn't directly cause egg shortages. Egg producers were just jacking their prices to take advantage of the headlines, similar to what oil companies have been doing--playing victim for political reasons. Oil production is at an all-time high and more leases have been granted than ever, yet gas prices have not come down commensurately to the level of oil production (and refining).

If anyone thinks oil companies are going to suddenly flood the market with cheap oil and cut profits under the "drill baby drill" directive or if egg producers are just going to precipitously drop the prices on eggs... pffft... hook, line, sinker....I'm not sure what people were thinking.
                            History will judge the complicit.

World wide oil consumption is at an all time high.

When I see the number of cars on the road everyday, I can't imagine where we get this much petroleum from. Peak oil is personal concern of mine. As fuel gets more expensive, we will develop technologies to access harder to reach reserves. But eventually even those will run dry.

My advice is enjoy gas while it is as cheap as it is, because it is as cheap as it is ever going to be.

And yet millions of people believed that their candidate could magically lower the price of gas (and eggs). Most people have absolutely no clue how the economy works, including a great many politicians.
