Ready to send back my biometric test but it doesn't look like the sample. Hope they'll resend another test kit if not acceptable. This is a $50 reward.

After cutting out from my diet bread, pastas, rice, processed flour, etc, my blood sugar has consistently been under 100. When I was eating bread, pastas, rice and processed flour my readings were consistently above 100. And I'm practicing a semi-fasting diet 2 meals a day such as chicken breast & veggies.

The food pyramid is just another example of how the medical field has lied for decades with Bread, Cereal, Rice and Pasta being recommended as the single largest food group that we need to consume everyday. And of the items listed there, rice is probably the least offensive, but yeah the others need to go.

The bigger problem is that most of what passes as bread, cereal, rice, and pasta is far removed from what is meant by those terms. Fresh whole grain bread, minimally processed cereals, whole grain rice, and fresh pasta are far better for us than the versions most of us consume. That pre-sliced loaf in a plastic bag that stays "fresh" for weeks and is filled with chemicals isn't what the food pyramid is talking about.

The food pyramid recommending breads, cereal, pasta, rice, etc is ludicrous. I think a lot of people are figuring it out and learning how terrible that stuff is for you. If you like feeling bloated, inflamed, spiking blood sugar...by all means, eat that food group up. It tastes great going down, then you want to sleep an hour later. You think that's good for your body?

And, if you really want to find out how addictive those foods are...try cutting them out for a few days. Good luck.

I switched to mostly meats, eggs, veggies,butter/beef tallow and very few fruits. If you're one of those people who have a pot belly, this will tighten it up. Also, no more afternoon crashes. High energy levels throughout the day.

Most of you would be surprised to discover the Food Pyramid hasn't been pushed for a long time. It was replaced by other guidelines quite a while ago. It's not that the advice was wrong. Eating bread and pasta and rice was never recommended in the typical quantities people choose to eat them, nor by the methods which they are typically prepared. Think Fettuccini Alfredo, Froot Loops, Fried rice....Pasta, Cereal, rice, right? Or Cheez-Its, if you prefer crackers... Humans have eaten grains throughout evolution and they are still useful in our diet. Just not in most typical Western/Americanized ways consumption.
              History will judge the complicit.

Exactly. When people hear "cereal" do they think shredded wheat or do they think Lucky Charms. One has 7gm of fiber, 0gm of sugar, and 6gm of protein. The other has 2gm of fiber, 12gm of sugar, and 2 gm of protein. Big difference there.
