  • Super Bowl Plans?

What are your plans? Will you be spending any extra money?

I don't care too much about the game because I'm not rooting for either team, but I do enjoy the spectacle plus it's a great excuse to eat some fun food. I'll be at my mom's helping her with the usual work so I'm going to spoil her & my brother with some extra good nibbles that I'm trying to keep semi-healthy. I'm working tomorrow so I'm doing some prep today.

We're going to have blackberry & sage infused water, pumpkin pie spice walnuts & raisins (baked them this morning . . . they smell divine), assorted veggies with yogurt ranch dip, and crab nachos. The crab for the nachos and the fresh sage are a bit of a BTD, but everything else is very economical, so about an extra $8 per person. If they enjoy it will be more than worth the expense!

Mark me down as not the least bit interested in professional football. When it comes to college football, I'd love to care more about Auburn football, but I usually don't know who we are playing and don't check the score till a week later. I am a horrible fan.

I think I could stick it out for some crab nachos though.

I'm posting a photo of Taylor Swift. Because, evidently this year the Super Bowl its all about her.

I'm another that doesn't care about football (or sports in general). So it's a non-event for me. However, being on the other side of the date line, the super bowl will be Monday morning for us ... So because it's nearly a national holiday anyway, they have everyone Monday off!! There's a free watch party that I could go to with food & prizes that I could go to just for the spectacle, but I don't think I want to spend my day off with 200-300 of my closest friends...

Most likely, I'll relax, go for a run, and get my house back in order... I just returned home from a 2wk business trip (doing 12-hr shifts the whole time), so having an extra day off is much appreciated.

I used to love gambling on sports until my bitcoin wallet suspended my account. The excitement factor is diminished greatly without being able to make bets on the game but I'll tune in mainly for the commercials.

She's out here in Japan for a series of concerts, and the trip I mentioned was just outside Tokyo .... So I've heard & learned more about Taylor Swift over the last 2 weeks than I probably ever have throughout the rest of my life combined .... ugh... Not my kind of music. Plus I've never been one to idolize celebrities, so all the hype & fanaticism falls flat for me. Why does anyone care who she's dating or what her opinions are? She's an entertainer, nothing else. For that matter, the football players themselves are really little more than entertainers who's medium is athletics... It all just comes down to the money.

We'll probably watch the game. Me with only half-paid attention. I usually surf my laptop while watching. Travis Kelce is easy on the eyes (so is his brother). Travis has landed quite the sugar-momma. I think it's great, and all the sour-puss conservatives can shove a football where the sun don't shine because it's none of their business either.

Not the least bit interested in sports. My wife likes football but doesn’t care about either team (like most of America apparently). She’ll probably watch the game anyway.

Apparently I'm one of the few football fans on this forum. I'll watch the game - for the football. Not a fan of either team, but hoping for a good game.

Should be Swift for the half or even Doja Cat would blown the roof off Allegiant stadium.

I watched the game at home.
No parties or gatherings this year.
I was busy doing some construction projects over the weekend and wanted to just relax at home and watch the game in peace.

We got one. Only the second time a Superbowl went to OT.
I remember when I was younger the Superbowl would normally be a blow out, but recently we've seen some better match ups.

I'm a Steeler fan, so no real passion about either team, but I enjoyed the competitive nature.
Let's see is Maholmes can create the next dynasty and match what Tom Brady accomplished.

Apparently the post-game tweets from various official accounts were an absolute riot. I thought it was cool that Taylor hired a football team to play at her party. Most entertaining non-football Super Bowl hype in years.
Sadly, there were no Jason Kelce wardrobe malfunctions.
Usher better be careful, he's going to break a hip doing that stuff. AARP won't pay for it.
                              Good game, good game...
