If I knew he didn't take my insurance I would have gone to another dentist but cannot cry over spilt milk. I'm satisfied with the implant. The alternative would have been a bridge which grinds down 2 perfectly good teeth to anchor the bridge which I also have on the opposite side which is good but it makes no sense to me to grind down 2 perfectly good teeth in order to hold the bridge when an implant doesn't need to grind down 2 perfectly good teeth. Bridges must be olden days procedures before implants became more common.
This is certainly legit. I paid $1450 for a crown last week. Big fun

Pepboys $640 for four new tires. Tire Depot is slightly better at $590 but with my last set of tires which was covered under warranty had a slow leak but the guy was lazy and didn't want to take the tire off and submerge the tire in a water bath to find the leak which I argued with the guy that I used to fix tires and you cannot just run water on the tire while it's still on the car but he still insisted no leak and after I told him that I had to refill air about 6 times. So I gave up and I took it to another place and paid $20 which did it the correct way and found a small nail. I don't want to do business with Tire Depot. So long story short I found a cheap routed. Walmart $317 total for 4 tires delivery to home. Once I get it I'll take it to one of the many tire repair shops for mount and balance about $25 each. I'm tired of dealing with lazy workers and cheaper this way.

I had to really think about this one and realized it was probably wedding related. So my largest non house or car purchase day was probably $15k; which was the largest installment for our wedding venue.

Rec'd my tires today. The 2 Fedex guys who delivered it wondered if I'm paying more having it delivered as opposed to just buying it from a tire shop. I explained that I'd be saving $200 having it delivered but I found out just now after having it installed that I saved $100. Each tire mounted & balanced & disposal fee (I forgot about this fee) is $40 each so with taxes the total was $175. The new tires delivered from Walmart was $317 so my total having it installed was $500. In addition, I tipped the tire guys who installed it $20. They were appreciative. So overall, I saved $120 vs Pepboys $640 total. By doing things my way having it delivered to home, I also avoided all the extra fee Pepboys and Tire Depot would have tacked on such as a new tire valve $7.50 each tire, nitrogen fill $7.50 each tire, and road hazard warranty $20 each tire which covers free flat repair and tire rotation for the life of the tire. To me that is all unnecessary junk fees that I rather do without but Pepboys & Tire Depot will automatically add on those fees unless you are vigilant and adamantly deny those fees and ask them to remove it before installation but most people aren't observant and will end up paying all those extra fees and only notice it after the installation which would be too late.

              Top of my head...

              New roof was about $15k
Multiple college (semester) tuition bills $12k
              Family vacations (multiple) $7-10k

We also finished our basement - with (paid) help from my brother in law who was a carpenter. Probably spent $40k on that project - though not in a single day.

New tires are grippy and responsive. The old tires sort of drifted when making turns but weren't completely bald. Also the new tires no longer has a slight shimmy on the steering wheel at 50 - 60 mph. I guess the old tires were off balance a little. Every weekend I drive 350 - 400 miles roundtrip from Los Angeles to Tijuana with a side trip to a casino as well. Good new tires makes a noticeable difference in the drive. Drove in the rain tonight as well and didn't experience any hydroplane whereas the old tires had some hydroplaning.

We spent around $6,000 on fixing our basement so that we no longer had water leaks. Also, spent around $5,000 on a payment towards Leafguard gutters.
