I asked Gab AI to tell me who I am, supplying just my full name and city of residence. It returned a strange account of how I became known for getting in a fight with Black Lives Matter protesters in a park. Supposedly, there were videos on social media of the incident and I claimed that my family was harassed by the protestors before the physical fight.

Umm, no such thing or anything remotely related has ever occurred in my life. My name is unique. As far as I know there is not one other person in the world with my name, so it should not have confused me with someone else.

I asked Gab AI to tell me about my husband and son. Both returns were completely, even comically, wrong.

I don't know how "good" one AI service is than any other, but I am disturbed to think of potential employers, landlords, or others using AI to decide whether or not to engage with someone based on an AI return.
