Me zilch. To me it's like putting stickers on your car which devalues it but hey, it's your car, lol. My gfs' in Mexico almost all have tattoos, pics of stars, love shapes, flowers, words in Spanish, etc.

Nope. Zero for me or my wife. So far, zero for DD though she has considered it from time to time, but she is absolutely terrified of needles so I'm not sure she'd ever actually do it.

None for me. I just have never had any interest in them

None for me. Some friends have some pretty awesome designs but it’s not something I’ve wanted for myself.

Same with me... Never had much interest in becoming a permanent canvas. Plenty of my friends/coworkers have tattoos, though. Sometimes they look great & are easy to admire & appreciate. For others..... Sadly returns are not possible. It depends alot on the skill of the tattoo artist, and the specificity of what you want them to do for you.

Honestly, some of my favorite tattoos have been very subtle. For example, one coworker has a few small tattoos on the sides of her fingers. With a closed hand or fist, you don't see them. But as a single finger or with hands open, you'll see them. Some are personally significant (initials of loved ones), others simply funny -- her right index finger has a light bulb (picture someone getting an idea, holding up 1 finger in a spark of inspiration, and you see the light bulb). On the left index, she's got a small mustache that she can hold up to her lip for a host of little gags. Of course, other folks have intricately done full sleeves or back/chest covered. Gorgeous artwork, but never something I'd want to subject myself to, or live with as I age.

I have 3, one on each breast and one on my sternum. They are all dots. I'm not sure how much they cost because my health insurance covered it. I'm extremely proud of them, because they mean I survived.

I may be out of the loop with this but I never heard of a hospital giving someone a tattoo who had breast cancer? I know several people who had BC and none were given ink.

I hope to never need those but radiation tattoos are the only ones I would ever get. Glad you’re here to tell the story.

It is done so they can point the radiation beam at the correct angle during treatment. Maybe it is a new-ish practice? I don't know.

Using tattoo markers for radiation is not new at all. They’ve been doing that for a long time.

hm I seem to be the odd one out. I have several - about 30 hours of work total, mostly on a large piece on my back and a half sleeve on my right arm. It's been about 5 years since I've had any work done and I honestly am not sure how much I spent... maybe around $2k total over 10 years. I'd probably have more if my artist wasn't a state away Pic of my favorite one

WOW Riverwed your sleeve is beautiful. I have one and I did it at 18 and I can't recall how much it was.
