I use Uber quite a bit and am getting ready for a short 11 mile airport run next week, been checking Uber and it's been between $7.50 and $14.xx depending on what time and day I checked on. Just for the heck of it I downloaded the Lyft app because Lyft is gaining poplularity here and the fare came up to $42.xx, I checked it a few minutes later and it was $25.xx then a short while after $30.xx, really can't understand how they can compete with Uber and why people are using them

We used Uber for the first time earlier this month and loved it. We used it twice this weekend. Honestly, I didn't check out Lyft to see how they compared. I'll have to do that. I would certainly go with the cheaper option but it might be the sort of thing where you really need to shop both each time to see who has the better rate at that moment.Steve
