I returned a package that I received a refund on the same day $6.99 day mailed. i got recharged yesterday back because Amazon never received the package.

Is it Amazon or third party? Amazon sends out return labels with tracking so I'd check that. You also get a receipt when drop off your package.
I just ordered the generic version of the water filter we use on our fridge. I have my eyes on some razor blades for my husband. I order the ear buds we like more frequently than I would prefer. Last year I ordered cabin air filters, engine filters and a rear wiper blade for our vehicles at a decent price.
I order vitamins, supplements, essential oils, items to send to my daughter living in the dorm, and other various gifts that I have shipped direct to family members living out of state.
It seems I have placed 38 orders in 2016! I think I got my shipping money's worth.
I stream a lot of various music channels and albums on my laptop or connect to our stereo system by bluetooth. All included!
I believe Prime now includes storage for photos. I haven't used that service yet, but I imagine that would keep me paying for life once I start storing photos!
I love Prime because we can order something Sunday night and sometimes have it on Monday, Tuesday at the latest.
I see myself using this a lot. My wife tends to blurt out "We need more XYZ" at the most inopportune times, now that I can likely order whatever she needs in a min or less I will be on it. (I just have to make sure I keep price checking things as I have found a few things priced better with shipping from other sellers)
We used it to download videos for the kids on their kindles. Heavenly when you are traveling. Only reason we had prime really was the kid shows can be downloaded and watched off wifi or streaming.
However now netflix you can download but I'm not sure how many episodes. The content on Amazon prime isn't great though.
I don't really care about the shipping and usually get the $1 and we usually don't bother with other stuff. Honestly we don't buy much. Plus when I need something I need it now, like a flour sifter. I needed it Thursday night and I wasn't going to pay $5 to have prime now deliver a sifter when I went to BBB down the street and picked it up cheaper with a 20% off coupon or I could have gone to target.
Amazon prime works for stuff you don't need right away. Run out? Well then there's no point in waiting for toilet paper, laundry detergent, soap, etc. Or paying the $5. Might as well just get it at the store it's not that much cheaper and suffer.
I will say when we had a dog I did have dog food on monthly order. But his food wellness wasn't sold in all stores the particular flavor I bought. So it was either Amazon or other specialty dog food store and that made it painful to drive and get.
But amazon doesn't have the lowest prices even online shopping many times. I bought a carseat from BBB with 20% off coupon it was cheaper than amazon. Or I've bought Britax carseats with stackable deals online from Kohl's. If you are going to online shop you still need to price compare, because with coupons other store can beat amazon hands down.
That being said I'm torn about renewing our amazon prime since we just got new tablets from Tmobile with free data and I feel like using that to stream for the kids netflix instead. We'll see.
The content on amazon prime video seemed mostly old to me. That cool if you like vintage movies, but not if you want the newest stuff like Game of Thrones.
