Labor cost for a hand built privacy fence?

    One of my retired friends is going to help me out. He does construction on the side, and since I'm providing tools he said he would do it for 15/hr. I'll be doing some work ahead and getting things ready soon.

    I'm not afraid of work. I hope to get it done over a 3-4 day period. The most time-consuming will be the posts and the gates. If I can't finish it in that time I at least need to get the gates and posts in. I can do the rest.

      Do you have a hole digger or renting one?

      My DH rented one when he put up a fence. Said is was money well spent. $75 for the day.

        81 here. Didn't want to, but it's looking like I'll have to thanks to it getting dark so fast now. I was going to dig a several holes a day until we did the fence next week, but with the baby coming TOMORROW, and then having to work the weekend. I just don't think I can do it.
