  • Unexpected gifts at work?

So, I got this while I was at work today. I have spent a lot of time working with this lady and her husband who work remotely for our company. Many computer issues, but I finally solved them.

Awesome surprise. Anybody else ever got something like this from a client, customer, co-worker?

Not sure if it will come to pass but I was told by someone else this morning I would be getting something from them as well for all my help. lol

Reminds me of a funny story. After we moved into our current home we had a Christmas Lobster Gram (8 Lobsters) sent to our house for the old property owner. Being the honest guy that I am, I some how tracked down the old owner and got his Lobster package to him. (He was nice enough to give us 2 of them).

The following Christmas, yet again this same Lobster package was sent to our house. Unfortunately for him, this time it became our Christmas dinner.

      Haven't seen a package since!

Thanks them for their gift, but also ask them to email/tell your manager about your work.

I think it's very common to give/receive gifts in the workplace. Depending on your circumstances, you may need to be careful about accepting gifts that are of a certain value. But yeah, especially around the holidays, I think gifts are abundant especially if you are self employed.

Someone used to send me these Harry & David royal Riviera pears. These pears are very fragrant and delicious. BTW those Omaha steaks looks like a winner. I've always wanted to try some.

I used to be a travel agent. I arranged travel for the Worlds of Wonder Toy Company. One of my clients gave me a Teddy Ruxpin for helping him out. One of the nicest presents I have received!
