  • What’s the best bedroom pillow?

So my wife and I always buy our pillows from the local big box store during Black Friday for the discount. Problem is they never seem to last long and go flat fast. I was wondering if people here have any recommendations on a good pillow?

It partly depends on what you like and how much you want to spend. The problem for most people is two-fold. One, they keep their pillows way too long and two, they buy cheap pillows. A good quality pillow can easily run $50-100 or more but most people pay $10-15 at Target or Walmart and then wonder why it isn't comfortable or doesn't last.

Probably the best pillow we've had was when I ordered the ones sold by Marriott. We always like them when we stay there so I went to their online shop and bought them.

I sure wish I could remember the maker of the pillows my mother-in-law gave us. They had some male designer name on them and they were so long lasting. But I forgot who the designer was. We saw some Calvin Klein pillows at Ross and thought that must be what they were. Bought the Calvin Kleins, and they have been good, but not as good as whatever the mystery ones were.

Only because we just spent a boatload for one of their mattresses, we happened to try the Purple pillows while we were checking out the mattress in the store. I'll admit the suckers were exceptionally comfortable, but my wallet started crying when I looked them up -- $160 per pillow. I may still get them for DW as a surprise gift (she LOVED them), but TBD....

This is, hands down, the best pillows we have ever tried. We replace them about every year and a half. They look funny but are ridiculously comfortable with lots of ways to sleep on them. They're called therapeutica pillows and we buy them at amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Therapeutica-...NsaWNrPXRydWU=

Not pillow but during this pandemic I bought a pillow-top mattress, best purchase I've made. Before the pandemic while staying at hotels I always enjoyed sleeping on pillow-top beds. Finally got one love it.

I actually had pillows which were older than me.

A few years ago I caught a sale at Kolh's and I was very pleased. $30 for normally $60 if I remember correctly. There are different models for if you sleep on your back or side.

On a side note, if you're going hiking, buy a GOOD hiking pillow! It is $50 worth spending, even if you're only going to sleep on it less than a week every other year.
