  • Best investment in case of zombie apocalypse ?

My son asked me this today, and actually I've never thought about it. I don't think there will ever be an actual zombie apocalypse, but what is the best investment to hold if there is one?

I'm not up on my zombie lore so it's hard to say.

How does one "kill" a zombie? I guess whoever makes and sells those supplies would do well during the apocalypse.

Gold pieces...so you can buy chickens from your neighbors.

Best investment is a hidden bunker no one will find...with 2 or 3 years of supplies for your family. Its not the zombies you have to fear...

But my neighbors don't have any chickens...

I know you were kidding, rennigade, but tom is more on point.
Gold is worthless. It has no inherent value and no practical use. It's just a shiny rock.
In an actual emergency, people are going to want survival items: food, water, clothing, batteries, and protection.

Are your friends and neighbors all zombies too?

These aren't too terrible "investments" even today. Of all of my hobbies, I think my gun hobby turned out to be the cheapest; I'm able to sell all my guns at their new prices after using them for years. Well, except my expensive shotguns, people keep saying they hold their value, but they don't.

I'd want to have access to a small tropical island somewhere in the Pacific where there are no zombies and they have no way of reaching me.

So I guess I'd invest in a boat and supplies to get to the island of my choosing.

Just keep a couple cases of zombie repellent in your basement.
Get it now, because once the apocalypse breaks out if will fly off the shelves fast.
