  • What shortages are you experiencing?

First toilet paper, then canned goods/pasta, coins. Now soda/beer cans for the aluminum. Also, I want to buy isopropyl alcohol 70% to use straight as a hand sanitizer but none of my stores have it. Ebay & Amazon sells it but $10 now what used to cost .99 cents. What other shortages have you seen.

While in store TP is now readily available, I still can't get it on Amazon. Used to have subscribe and save so it was just delivered monthly - haven't received a shipment since February. Same with feminine products.

Definitely running into issues getting web cams - 12 week lead time.

Doesn't really impact me since I never use cash but the quarter shortage was real - tons of places around here had signs on the doors stating exact change only, or running promotions where you got a deal/discount to bring in loose change.

We had a huge beef/fresh meat shortage for a while as well but that seems to have corrected despite the mass killing and disposal of hogs at the beginning of the pandemic. Prices are up though.

Still often can't get yeast at the grocery store. Finally found a 1 lb bag so I'm set for a couple years I think haha but the individual packets are hard to come by. Bulk grocery items are still missing from shelves - my local grocer has removed their self serve health food section where you can stock up grains, nuts, etc at a discounted/wholesale price. Also its still a bit apocalyptic to walk through the toy aisle at Target or Walmart - no bikes, no puzzles, no sports balls, etc.

Ammunition and firearms are in very short supply, most shops have very little inventory.
I've also heard that treated lumber is getting pretty scarce. Lot's of do it yourself handyman deck projects got started when people were off work.

Cleaning supplies are still hard to come by, but hand sanitizer is everywhere now. You can buy it by the gallon if you want to.

I have noticed a lot of empty spaces on supermarket shelves but haven't really paid attention to what items are missing - nothing that I needed clearly.

I've also seen lots of signs about the change shortage but that doesn't affect me as I always pay by credit card.

It also hasn't affected me but friends who have been trying to get their kids set up for remote learning or get themselves set up to work from home have had trouble finding supplies, desk chairs, lamps, and tech stuff.

              * Despite the high cost of living, it remains very popular.
              * Why should I pay for my daughter's education when she already knows everything?
              * There are no shortcuts to anywhere worth going.

Tie Dye kits are in short supply. We went to michaels the other day, entire section was gone. Had to order from amazon.
Fitness equipment is still in short supply but slowly easing.
Clorox wipes are still difficult to find.

First thing I noticed as hard to find is liquid handsoap, and various cleaning supplies. Secondary would be guns and ammo, as James mentioned. I'm looking into possibly getting a progressive reload press for 9mm mainly.
"I'd buy that for a dollar!"

I had trouble finding a pushable golf cart. Searched new & used for a while & lucked out on a new one eventually.

Oddly, "wasp killer" is of stock at every home improvement store in the area. Not sure what that's about. I can only save more money at Menards when they have what I need to buy.

Our realtor told us the price of lumber here in the upper midwest has doubled in a relatively short timeframe, potentially because of a shortage. It's halted new construction while builders reprice homes and figure out next steps.

Most soda was out of stock at the grocery store the other day... I heard something about a soda shortage. All I wanted was a 12pk of diet coke and there was almost nothing left of anything.
                        History will judge the complicit.

I bought 2 wasp sprays at $2.99 each from Home Depot in Los Angeles. And I don't have a wasp problem, I live in an apartment. I can't say what I'd use if for but you could do a search and easily discover what it could be use for other than its intended purpose.

The only two uses I've discovered so far are an unlikely/ineffective replacement for pepper spray, and, not surprisingly, people use it as an alternative to meth. ??

I have a newly-forming in-ground wasp nest next to the front porch that needs to be dealt with before this place catches a sale and a home inspector points it out.

I didn’t know about meth but with the ongoing riots in Los Angeles with a riot and looting occurring just last night I keep the wasp spray which shoots 27 feet as a form of self defense among other things.
