Wondering if anybody knows how the AT&T prepaid refill cards work? Kroger currently has them 15% off so I can get $200 for $188.70 because they charge me sales tax (6%) and 911 fee (5%) because I am in Michigan. My wife and I are on an AT&T prepaid plan that cost $0 before sales tax and 911 fee so after that it's $44.40. If I buy the cards from Kroger wouldn't I be paying the sales tax and 911 fee twice? Does anybody know how these work on AT&T prepaid?

So you can buy a $200 refill card for $188.70 and use that to pay your $44.40 monthly plan charge, right? I think that's a perfectly good idea. It doesn't matter if you'll technically be paying tax twice. You'll still be saving just over 11% compared to what you normally pay so you come out ahead.Steve
