  • Memorial Day travels?

Who is traveling? How much do you plan to pay/budget. I'll catch a free bus to Harrahs San Diego for free. Budgeting $150 - $200 to gamble. I'm using a free dinner buffet ($30 value). Day trip, no overnight stay.

Mostly travel company offers these type of discount to boost their booking. I have checked yesterday hotels dot com, they are providing coupon: MEMORIAL to get additional 15% off on hotels.

      No travelling for me.

We're having a few people over on Monday for a little cookout and a campfire.

Bought airline tickets for my mother in law and a niece to visit us this weekend. So they are traveling. And we have to travel to get them to and from the airport (1.5 hours away). And then we are going to the beach tomorrow (2 hours away in the other direction). So yes, we are traveling!

Going to the lake with some family members for some boating, fishing, lots of good eating, camp fires, and general loafing.

I'm a little shocked that it is Memorial Day Weekend! (This month has flown by! ) We have some upcoming graduations and retirements that we are going to attend, so we are staying close to home this weekend.

Everyone stay safe. QuarterMillionMan--good luck to you!

No, the gardens need too much looking after (still planting, already harvesting) to go anywhere now. Besides, our time is our own, so we don't depend on a Federal holiday for release to take a trip. We do have a car trip planned for the second week of June.

I like to think of Memorial Day weekend as a holiday designed to give me time to throw a birthday party for myself. So, I'm having some family over on Sunday for a cook out. Hopefully, it doesn't rain all day.

We are just going to our cottage and the local amusement park. We cook our meals and already have the season passes for the park, so maybe $30 in gas and $20 in tolls. We might buy fireworks, so maybe another $100.

I like bj's cookout/campfire, fishingdude's fishing trip, and sv2007's Las Vegas trip. SV post pics of some of your wins later. Are you staying on the strip, downtown, or at a local's casino. If I get any nice hits on my trip, I'll post it here later

We stayed with my parents; also visited my sister family.

My post make it sound like we love to gamble, but we don't. Mainly a family visit to let kid know his cousins better. We go there 2-3x per year for family and with school age kid, it is a pain to go during the holidays. I think we maybe gambled for 10 hrs total.

We went to Suncoast and TX station this time. We won-- all thanks to a very lucky craps roller at Suncoast.
