  • Did anyone else watch the Suzie Orman Series Finale?

I recorded it on DVR and finally got around to watching it this weekend. This is the end of an era. I can't say I always agree with her, but she has some pretty good (and simple) points when it comes to personal financial advice.

I agree with her that the goal of money is to feel secure. That was great parting advice and helps put things in perspective. That, and how she ranks things in order of importance: First, people, then, money, then, things.

I hope she's off to enjoy a wonderful retirement with her partner, K.T. She was on the show last night with Suzie and apparently they're off to go fishing! I had no idea Suzie loved to fish, and that put a smile on my face.
    History will judge the complicit.

I had no idea she was retiring. I haven't seen her show in a while.

I wonder if they have a replacement of some sort lined up?

Havent watched that show for 3 years but used to enjoy it when I had that channel.

With retiring from the show im guessing she will not have to worry about money ever again.

She's not exactly retiring. I believe she's taking a break, but then she's coming back with a new show on a different channel. It will be a totally different format.

I listen to the podcast of the show on my phone. I'm a couple of episodes behind. I'll probably hear the final show next weekend because I'm taking a 5-hour road trip so I need 10 hours of entertainment while I'm driving.

I've always enjoyed her show. I can't say I've agreed with her 100% of the time, but pretty close.

I wonder why she wants to do a daily show (more work) instead of just sticking w/her Saturday night show? You'd think she'd want to work less since she's getting older, not more.

Some people enjoy working and want to keep working. Not everyone works just for the money. Our last CEO died at work. He didn't do it for the money. He loved the work. That's not for me, but it is for some.

We also viewed the finale. Kind of sad because one commentator on a different site pointed out that few financial shows really give practical advice.

I stopped watching when CNBC stopped having the show available for streaming.

She loved to simplify things, which can help people remember the basic message, "Don't spend all you earn!" But those teeth! Glowing white bleached teeth always look so horribly fake.

She claims to just use Crest White Strips.

Quitting work to fish all day? I mean...can she afford it?
