  • Plan for July 4th

What do you do to celebrate July 4th? Do you set a budget? Is that an expensive celebration? Will you travel or invite friends and neighbours for a BBQ? Do you take DKs to community sponsored firework displays? We're so grateful to finally welcome summer we try to get to at least 3 community events.but traffic is crazy.

Wish I can celebrate July 4th, but since i work in the middle east, I will have to work that day.
If I was home I would probably do a get together with some family and friends. Enjoy your 4th of July celebration.

I'll be headed to the local street fair. They are having fireworks on the 3rd.

I don't really have a budget for it. It's a cheap night. At most I might buy some carnival food and a few beers. $10 or so.

Its my favorite holiday! If we were in our hometown it would most definitely be spent boating on the river. But since we're not, not sure what we'll do... hopefully a cookout, some volleyball and fireworks. No budget - we don't spend any more than we would any other weekend.

We live in a great city for fireworks, so we usually go see at least one fireworks show every year. My sister works for people who own a shopping center that puts on a nice show. One of the perks of working for them, is that their employees and a guest park in a lot really close to where they shoot off the fireworks. So, we get a good spot in a reserved lot. They usually do their fireworks the weekend before the Fourth, so we're actually doing that this weekend. We usually go down a bit early to tailgate and order a few pizzas. The cost of pizza and other tailgate snacks isn't much more than we'd spend on a normal weekend meal.

On the actual Fourth, we often end up celebrating our anniversary, which is the day before. That can get a bit pricey, but it has little to do with the holiday. Although, we do love that people tend to set off fireworks to celebrate with us.
