It all depends on whether you go out much and whether you frequent the businesses with the discounts. Flip through the book and you be the judge of it. If you can use a great many of the coupons and discounts then maybe it is worth it to purchase.

I don't live near anything, so I am sure it would not be worth it to me!

Priceplus is right. It's a good value for some people. Especially if you eat out a lot or go to the movies, it's probably worth it. Unfortunately the Entertainment Book has declined in value over the last few years -- I don't get as much bang for the buck as I used to.

I bought the Austin book because we travel to Austin 5-6x/year. When traveling, we tend to eat out (well, hotel rooms aren't conducive to not eating out), so we use the book to get cheaper meals.

We buy the book every year. We don't eat out that much but it is nice on special occasions (birthdays, anniversary, etc) to be able to go to a nicer restaurant than we might otherwise choose for half the price. We feel it pays for itself rather quickly and it is fun to try new places. Once you register your book online you also get access to hundreds of printable coupons for your area. The printable coupons must be used within 14 days of printing them so you have to plan ahead but it increases the value of the book.

I thought that too which is one reason i am so hesitant, but i have friends and we do sometimes go to these restaurants and paying for one entree instead of two would be nice. i don't know if we would spend more or not, but saving a little each month, or on mivie tickets seems like a good deal.

If you ever have to travel and rent a car it is a life saver. I buy one every year for the car rental coupons alone. Things such as two free upgrades pays for itself in one trip. Everything else is just gravy for me.

We have used EB for years in both Texas and Florida Metropolitan areas.

The book is usuaaly paid for in one to two purchases for us.

Depends on where you live and your current spending habits.....but certainly can be a good deal.
