  • How Much For Room + 24/7 Full Service Care Per Month?

How much should I charge (per month) for a room (for rent) plus 24/7 full care services of the following:

*Room with full use of utilities
*Access to Club at the city center with pool, spa and gym.
    *Large spacious back-yard

    24/7 SERVICES OFFERED:
    (1. House cleaning
    (2. Chauffeur
    (3. Cooking (all 3 meals - food included)
    (4. Laundry / Dry cleaning
    (5. Booking / managing appointments
    (6. Handling all phone calls
    (7. Physical assistance
    (8. Errands
    (9. Typing / Emails / Bill management
    (10. Security
    (11. Gardening
    (12. Recording / managing all prescriptions (as directed - including shots)
    (13. Pets allowed - with available pet care
    (14. Daily house duties / personal assitance - making beds, mail sorting, dressing / undressing, shaving, etc...
    (15. Cable, phone and use of internet included
    (16. All hygienic supplies - toiletries, soap, toothpaste, towels, robes included.
    (17. Medium sized storage available
    (18. ALL utility bills (water, electric, phones, internet, cable are / should be included in the charge)

ALSO: The cheapest room for rent in California is in the $450 - $500 range, so I was wondering how much I should charge for all of the aforementioned 24/7 services (above) on top of the room value; what would the 'grand total' be?

We can't answer that unless we know how much you pay for all those services. You are the best one to assess that. Your cost for all those services plus a premium you feel comfortable with on top. The downside is that you will exclude a lot of people as many don't need/want all that service.

      The question should be, "Would someone want 24/7 care services?" I for one wouldn't let you come close to my bill management/emails, handling phone calls, and/or managing my appts. Furthermore, there may be some licensing requirement in your jurisdiction;

      1) Is subletting allowed?
      2) Business license? The income needs to be reported.
      3) Community care licensing? Sounds like you are starting up a board and care facility.
      4) POA for finance? Being named as a person's payee or conservator? You may need to petition a court and have a judge appoint you as the person's executor in which case you will need a probate attorney. Trust documentation needed.
      5) Capacity declaration? You'll need a doctor's note declaring that the person is incompetent to manage his/her own affairs.
      6) Nursing license requirements (vocational nursing, certified nursing assistant, RN, etc.)

You may want to just rent out the room and leave out the 24/7 care services. Sounds overly optimistic to me and unrealistic.
