Besides our milestone anniversary we do not do anything elaborate. Our first anniversary hubby cooked me a candle light dinner. It was terrible too be honest but it is still one of my best memories because he worked so hard on it.

He also wrote me a cute little poem once A to Z and each letter had a thing he loved about me etc.

We many times just booked a night away in a hotel with champagne and no kids. The price of what we booked varied by our budget. I was just as happy in a jacuzzi suite at Days in as a swanky hotel.

Get the kids out of the house, cook for your wife, set up a candlelit dinner, play romantic music, reminisce the past you had with her, tell her how and why you fell in love with her, tell her why you still love her, prepare chocolates for desert, and give her an anniversary gift.

There could be nothing special than spending some quality time with your hubby and memorizing all the good times you spent all these years!

I guess I'm specifically asking the married women here what they would like most on a wedding anniversary that wouldn't necessarily cost an arm and a leg, or men that have successfully pulled off a wedding anniversary surprise that was frugal in nature. Any and all help would be appreciated.
Think of where you went on a first date, where you proposed or something similar (memorable location) and spend a few hours there (taking a walk, picnic, eating dinner).

When I was happily married, that worked and worked well, of course now I am looking for an upgrade from girlfriend 4.0 to girlfriend 5.0 after wife 1.0 would not upgrade her decision making process.

            Can I ask what V, K and Q were?

I have an idea what V might stand for, but let's keep it PG here. LOL

Want your anniversary to be memorable without spending a lot of money? Pretty easy dude! All you have to do is to be extra extra of everything during that special day. Make your wife breakfast in bed, cook for her and be her slave for the day. She WILL appreciate it. Do chores with her and be extra sweet. Make sure when dinner time comes, you will do the effort on cooking her favorite meal.

Remember most women appreciate every little thing we do so better go for an extra mile to have this special day very special!

                Good luck!
