I am reading Anne Lamott's newest book, "plan B", which I love (I love all of her) and Augusten Burroughs "Magical Thinking".

Both are hysterical.

I just finished a Buffett book - Jimmy Buffet that is. The book is A Salty Place and it is incredible. The best he's done so far. The characters walk out of his songs and into the pages of the book. I highly recommend it.

O yeah! I remember now.

Don't worry. No such thing as a "nice greek girl" anymore. Ha Ha. You'll understand when you get over there.

Be agreeable but don't lose your individuality either. I've seen other non greeks marry and it gets too one-sided. An aunt of mine did it right (she is German and married into the family) - she embraced the family and enjoyed all the traditions while staunchly maintaining her own as well. 50/50. Not saying it was easy but the kids are all openminded and well adjusted.

DO NOT lose yourself for anyone or anything. No one is better than the next person, KWIM?

There is one caveat.....never underestimate the power a greek mother has over her son.



I sure hope he has backbone.

I recently read "Super Self" by Charles J. Givens. I also read the short book "Pay It Down" by Jean Chatzky. I heartily recommend either or both.

Just finished Two Little Girls in Blue by Mary Higgins Clark and it was superb! Now I'm reading "Final Victim" by Wendi Corsi Staub, who writes a lot like Mary Higgins Clark and I can't put this book down!

none... no time.. only read books in the hot of summer or the cold of winter... i have 6 magazines and 2 catalogs... i peek thru during the week....

I just finished Night by Elie Wiesel. Very good book about te author's Halocaust survival at age 15. Definately a heartwrenching account.

I am currently reading Educational Psychology by Anita Woolfolk. It's a textbook for my class, but I'm reading it and it isn't all that bad. At least not yet. And I'm also reading a Fitness and Wellness book for my PE class. Which actually is slightly interesting.

Just finished Dan Brown's newest, Deception Point. I could not put it down, much like his other books. I have Lynn Truss' newest, Talk to the Hand, about rudeness in today's society - need to get that one started and take it back to the libray.
