I grew up in the city of Chicago,a nd live here again now. I've lived allover the world, but I couldnt imagine moving away again.

I have been thinking of Winnepeg recently. But thats because of the nations political problems more than my local problems.

Fantasy: A Victorian in San Francisco, and a cottage out in the Humboldt or Trinity area, in the woods.

This pretty much nails it for me.

I often tell my spouse, "I'm willing to live anywhere--California, Oregon or Washington." But he's an Easterner and his family is all out here. My family is so scattered (and wacko) it's not worth living somewhere to be close to any of them. We both agree that it's my turn next, though, since I've been out here over six years. In a few years we may go to California--somewhere in the East Bay. I gotta start making more money, though, so I can save for the big move.
