My parents and I love to read. My parents love fiction and I like just about anything- Can you share your top 2-3 favorite book titles and a little about the book, so I can add them to our list of checkouts from the library!

(I love reading books that come recommended- that way I know I am getting one worthwhile...)

    Thanks!

    Re: Favorite Books

I mostly read financial books. One book I like is "The education of Little Tree" by Forrest Carter. It is a true story about himself, as a boy, raised by his grandparents, who were Indians. It was set in the area I live in now, near Tennessee.
The other one is "A Boy called It" by Dave Pelzer. A true inspirational story of his survival as a child and how everyone ignored his child abuse.
Ray, I read your challenge today. Let's shot for 20 trips a day up and down those stairs, ok? Ready, set, go.............................

Thanks Ima Saver....I just requested from the library 'The Education of Little Tree" - should have it in a few days. I did read 'A boy called it" a while back....such a touching story of an awful situation- hard to believe there is such cruelty in the world.

Any hows- I am all ready to go on those stairs tomorrow...got the pennies ready and I am anxious to start!!

          Re: Favorite Books

I tend to read parenting/education books...

          The homeschooling handbook

I am not a begining homeschooler, but I enjoyed the different excerpts from homeschoolers lives. I like to look at all the different ways people educate thier own, and remind myself of all the variety in the world.

The only point I disagree on is the idea that homeschoolers only clean for company, I consider my house relativly clean.

Is there one you would recommend I read first?? I think my parents have read a few of her books...and I have heard she is good...
