There is one on groupon for a good discount of $69.

I am thinking of doing it as a "just in case," "broadening skills" kind of thing. If I ever want to teach part time when retired or if DH gets transferred overseas(chances are low at the moment, but you never know with life).

Waste of time(120 hour online course) and money, or a worthwhile endeavor?

Teaching English as a Foreign Language.

Research who the course is offered through to ensure they're a well-respected organization. No sense in having a cert if it's from a "buy your paper" type of place that has no substance and essentially trades you a cert for money.
