  • Another Milestone reached!

DS graduated from college! We paused to savor the moment--well, it was more than a brief pause. Last week, DH and I were in full celebration mode. DS starts his J-O-B in 2.5 weeks! .

Congrats! That is 2 milestones - graduating AND a job. Terrific!

    * Despite the high cost of living, it remains very popular.
    * Why should I pay for my daughter's education when she already knows everything?
    * There are no shortcuts to anywhere worth going.

That's great! I know how happy you must be. These huge milestones give parents a chance to review how happy they are with the path their kids have taken, even if we may still feel a bit nervous around the edges for what the future may bring them.

Thanks Disneysteve--you're right as usual--2 milestones. We have been so focused on the graduation. It has been a great week.

          Joan,
Thanks--we are very happy for him and you are right about being nervous for the future. He will be moving a few states over, so he won't have the same safety net that he might have if he would be staying in the local area. He has a good head on his shoulders (and 3 roommates ) so I think it will work out. I remember when I first left home--my job took me out of state, too. It was an exciting time, but I'm sure my Mom was nervous for me.

yahoo! How wonderful, he's done you proud! Celebrate the completion of one phase and moving forward to job and future challenges. With current communications son is only as far away as his cell phone. By now he knows his parents love him dearly and are always there should he need their counsel.
