I'd put a nice patio off our deck. With $10,000, I think I could swing a fire pit and some built in benches. We put the deck in last year with the intention of putting a patio in next to it eventually. The current plan is to have enough saved to put in the patio next summer, but I'd be happy to push the plan forward a year and to start saving for the next project.

I would place the entire amount on #8 on the roulette wheel at a local indian casino.

If I won, I would use the ~300,000 to buy a ticket on the first Virgin Galactic spaceship orbital trip. That is about the only way I could ever justify spending that kind of cash for a few hours, but man...can you imagine the bucket list envy?

First answer would be to travel, as for where, that would be the fun part of deciding. Otherwise more likely upgrades to my house IE hardwood floors, tools, and pick up a processor Marantz AV7005.
"I'd buy that for a dollar!"

Put me in the "really nice family vacation somewhere" camp.

Well, this morning I was going to say use it for my list of home renovations (some of which have not yet been funded)... but this afternoon I was thinking--the heck with that--10,000 all on air travel! (I don't even care where. )

I've already got tentative plans over the next year and a half to travel to disneyworld, alaska, kentucky, and probably new orleans, as well as a cruise to the caribbean (good thing several of those destinations are to visit friends where I'll have a free place to stay!). So rather than having to use my regular income for those trips, I'd just use the extra $10k and just be a little less frugal on those trips. Anything left over I'd use to buy new clothes.

Well, since you didn't say anything about living expenses. I think I would use it to pay living expenses. Rent, utilities, etc. and use my take home to pay off my debt and save the rest.

Replace the floor in the house (solid oak panels), remove two overgrown trees, replace front driveway, replace furnace. I doubt that will take $10,000, so any leftover will go to my hobbies (of which I have plenty, but what the hey...)
Don't torture yourself, thats what I'm here for.

Buy the used car I've been eyeing without worry.

A very well deserved fishing vacation for my husband. And I think I will make it happen anyway, because I know $10,000 will not drop into my hands like magic...

African Safari! Unfortunately, $10k wouldn't cover the whole trip for two of us, but it would get us pretty close!

Sonus Faber Cremona floor speakers - about $5K used.

                          Maybe a boat.

I think $10000 isn't still enough to buy all your necessities with the increasing financial needs nowadays.

Heck, I'd add getting tickets to a major music festival or two such as Glastonbury or Reading to my list. I've never been to one of those and have been dying to check one out.
