  • Disconnected from Equifax credit score line

I called the Equifax credit score phone number because I wanted my credit score. I was disconnected after I entered my information, but my credit card was charged. Is this supposed to happen? Are they going to mail me the score? I have a confirmation number, but when I called back there was no option to enter the number. I can't list the phone number because I think the forum's spam filter will delete my post if I do.

Was there any option to speak to a person? There must be some way to do that and get the problem corrected.

Have you tried going to their website? Perhaps the confirmation code would work there. Or maybe at the website, they have a customer service number listed.

Ok, I found a number to call where I could talk to someone and they said if my credit card was charged, then Equifax would mail me my credit score. I didn't give them my address, but I guess they can figure it out from my SS#.

          Thanks for the help.

They're the credit bureau. They know everything about you.

yeah same thing happened to me. I was further along in the process but still disconnected. I spoke with someone and they said that it was going to be mailed to me. That was a week or so ago. Not sure what to do about it either. Need to do some digging.

              Why can't things be simple?

For anyone wanting to get their credit score, I'd suggest going to the source. Go to myfico.com and order it there.

The website "Creditkarma" will provide your Transunion creditscore for free (you can update it as often as you like). They will also provide a summary of your credit score ie. the utilization, late payments, number of hard inquiries etc. The score checks are soft and according to the website do not show up on your report/are not counted.

Other then that the website pushes the usual suspect list of credit cards and claims to offer savings through them.
