    when they deplete their savings then mediCAL will kick in, they can provide a convalescent home but it will lack the personal touch

    i am going through this with my father right now, he wants free care but his savings must be gone, i prefer him to stay where he is in an assisted living facility. its really nice there but he doesn't want to spend his money.
    retired in 2009 at the age of 39 with less than 300K total net worth
