  • Financial Software with Sub-Accounts

Does anyone know of a personal finance software - preferably free - that allows you to not only tie to your real bank accounts, but also to classify your information from an account into sub-accounts? For instance, it links to my bank and shows that I have $500 in savings. However, based on a set allocation that I have given it, that $500 is automatically separated to $300 EF, $100 Holiday Fund, and $100 Saved for vacation.

Any ideas? I use Mint.com, and it is great for bringing together all my accounts and investments, but I would like to take it down another tier.

    Thanks

Don't know of anything web based that does that.

AFAIK most of the desktop software out there, including the free GNU Cash, has the ability to set up subaccounts. I just don't know if they can be set up to allocate funds automatically the way you've described.
