The last time we were at the vet they told us our dog needed her annual blood test, a pretty pricey (~$135) test that is needed to regulate her medicine dosage. Usually we know this ahead of time because it has to be 4-6 hours after her last pill. But it was like 3 hours or so, so they did it anyway. Now they are saying they have to do it again before they will renew her prescription. There was no mention last time that they might have to redo it, and I don't think we should have to pay since we would have come back later, they are basically the ones who decided to go ahead with the test.
I guess the bottom line is to ALWAYS get these things to be well understood before any money is spent, but for where I am now, how do I make a case that we shouldn't have to pay for this? I guess I'll start by digging out the paperwork.
I guess the best case is if they say no charge for the retest, but I really doubt that is going to happen.
