Watch those receipts

I just went over a receipt from Kroger and saw that they charged me 11.88 for a head of lettuce I just about fell out of my chair. The deal was supposed to be 12 @ .99. So they charged me for buying 12 heads. I'm returning my gold plated lettuce very soon. Not the first time I've caught this stuff. I hope everyone here watches their receipts close. If not, might be wise to start.

Had salad and tea with a friend. I put it on CC, then she paid me cash for her portion. I looked at the receipt they'd given me to deliver food to the table and based her half (we order the same) on that. All it showed was an amount of money; it wasn't itemized and had I let what was on the CC go in one ear & out the other. Later at home I found the CC receipt and found that we did not pay what it said on the table delivery receipt. (Must have been someone else's receipt.) So I'd over charged my friend. I've got to pay more attention. I hope she did not think I did that deliberately.
