    I always liked using thier free checking service but recently they changed my account to lifegreen checking and this account comes with fees, i never signed up for this "lifegreen" checking is there anything i can do?

    Hmm the same thing happened to me. I wasn't aware that they would charge fees. Thanks for bringing this up, I'm going to call them and see what it's about.

      They sent our letters a couple of months ago. They have different accounts that you can change to. If you are 50 yrs old, you can forgo the charges. They also have student and work life accounts. I went in person to get help.

        I tool chh advise and switch to a credit union but something kind of bothers me,

        Dormant Account $10.00 per month if balance below $100

        So if my account goes below 100 dollars i have to pay 10 bucks a month, i opened that credit union account with about 75 dollars because i haven't got paid yet so now i have to pay them 10 bucks.Isn't that basically a monthly mainteance fee?

          essentially, yes. One option you may have is to go to the credit union and ask that the fee be waived, at least for this the first month of your account until you have the cash on hand to bump it up over the required minimum.
