    It may be a function of my own sometimes surprising naiveté but I had to gawk, and judgmental thoughts flitted through my head when I saw next door to a home furnishings rental store a shop called Rent'n'Roll, offering wheels and tires "with easy payment options and no credit hassles."

    Stop the planet. I want to get off. Think I'll just walk now.

    Yes, I've heard about that. Working in a poor neighborhood as I do, I often see really junky cars with wheels that cost more than the car is worth. I would not be at all surprised if many of them are rentals.

        It probably works like the rent to own places where the rental contract payments total 3 or 4 times the value of the items being rented.
