Two of my co-workers keep telling me I should sign up for an iWon account. They surf the site like crazy and tell me they're going to win millions one day just because they used the iWon search engine.

Yet despite all their efforts neither has ever won a dime. I'm wondering how many people actually win prizes at sites like this. so is anyone a member? And if so, have you won anything for your trouble?

I somehow started getting spam from them. It was never-ending. It has finally let up and it has been a few years. I wouldn't recommend it.

      Re: iWon

I recently signed up for it... and have so far made all of $0.20... they did say that I would make up to $5.00 for filling out my profiles... but then after I did that, I think it said that I would get the money only the next time I did a survey... and haven't received one of those yet, so who knows...

I have some free time, so I don't mind filling out surveys... I just hope some of them actually start paying off... hey are there any good "getting paid for doing surveys" sites? (if there is a thread discussing it already please give me the link, thanks!)

Mypoints is good... I've received two $25 gift certificates for restaurants through them so far.

I haven't tried them. It would take too much surfing time.

          Re: iWon

I've been a member of iwon for five ? years, maybe more. I have'nt won anything, but I do like it because it is the email address I have had for however long I've been with them, so no matter how many other email addresses I may have come and go over the years, people still can get in touch with me through my iwon account. I also have my homepage set up with just what I want. It really doesn't take that much surfing to earn the daily points - I just have it set as my homepage (which earns you 5 points) and then anytime I want to do a search for something, I use their search engine. It really is the same concept as yahoo or msn, just you have the added benefit of earning points (up to 100 daily) for your internet activity. It doesn't cost anything, so to me its worth using it whether or not I ever win anything or not.

I'm not sure what the person was talking about when they mentioned having earned $.20 - maybe they're thinking of a different program? Iwon doesn't pay you for using their site. Also, I haven't received much in the way of Spam from iwon. Once in awhile I'll get an email announcing a new change to the website, but not much more than that.

I haven't won anything either. It's not worth it
