Does anyone make any money from survey sites anymore?

    Re: Just wondering

I get checks from Pinecone and NFO(MySurvey) regularly. I get products from I-say and Synovate to try.

Don't expect to get rich, but online surveys are an easy way to make a few extra bucks to supplement your income.

Not trying to get rich. I used to belong to a lot of survey places and was just wondering if it was worth updating my accounts to revieve the surveys again and was just wondering which ones are good.

What type of things do you do? I know there is paid to click, paid to read, paid to surf, etc. But what do you do?

be very careful about where you sign up; i made that mistake and now am inundated daily with junk spam mail. all they really want is your contact info so they can do this. i don't think it's worth it. There are better ways to make a buck!

I do Mypoints. I get points, which I then can convert into gift cards. I use the cards for myself or for gifts. Also, I just got a mypoints credit card (at the advice of my attorney to build up credit in my name after my divorce). I get points for using it as well, but I have only charged a few dollars to it, and already paid it off. I wasn't excited about the surveys I found when I tried that.

Pinecone Research is really about the only survey site I do. I posted this thread curious if there were any other good still paying survey sites around. But I also wonder what else people do at home that does not take a long time each day. You see I work 45 hours a week (required) and I just got married in August. It is my goal to not be working there anymore by our 1 year anniversary. So I'm just trying to pick up a few things I can do at home for some spare cash to set aside for that time. I'm currently rolling all change and just setting it aside, not banking it because then it would get spent. And we have 2 accounts online that haev money put in them weekly. So I just keep the change in a drawer. But obviously that wont be enough money to replace what I make now. So, that is why I ask what others are doing from home.

                    Re: Just wondering

Right now the best thing I'm doing from home to replace a "real" job is being a landlord. I also do eBay, tutoring, and some advertising-based internet stuff (you probably won't get rich there). Dh and I are even considering flipping -- there's an adventure for you!! My blog below outlines some of my profit making adventures including our most recent look at a house affectionately known as "cat crap house" . . . Oh, one more thing . . Do the VERY best you can to NOT live on your income. Put your income toward debt/savings and try to forget it's there.

I echo 34's advice about living on one income. The internet has proven to be fairly profitable for me (although an hourly wage calculation therefrom would probably be depressing).

                        Re: Just wondering

I'm not considering giving up work outside the house all together until we have kids. I'd like to go down to part time somewhere else doing something I enjoy. Right now I work a required 45 hours plus a week in upper management for a grocery store. We just got married and I'd just like to be happier, staying at this job wouldn't make me or us happy. So I was hoping that in a year I could have enough saved from different online things to go part time. Last week I just paid off the last thing that was hanging on my debt that was 400$ or more. I'm proud of that. And now I'm saving everything I can after we get paid bills. Everything is possible it just sometimes takes creativity. I'm only 23 so there's always room to grow and learn...at any age.
